Carrasco Pain Institute

Gait & Balance Program

Helping patients improve walking, balance, strength, mobility, and independence through personalized therapy.

Improve Balance. Walk Safer. Stay Independent.

Balance and walking problems can result from orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, inactivity, chronic pain, or injuries involving the joints, muscles, and nerves.

Dr. Carrasco understands how important balance and walking are for independent living. Our therapists provide treatment designed to help patients achieve the greatest amount of physical activity and independent function possible.

Recommended Treatment Plan

Two to three visits per week

for four weeks

Treatment may include gait training, core stability work, therapeutic exercise, and pain-relieving modalities based on each patient’s needs.

Gait Training

Core Stability

Therapeutic Exercise

Helps improve flexibility, strength, endurance, coordination, balance, posture, and functional movement.

Modalities

May include electrical stimulation, ultrasound, massage, and heat to help relax muscles, improve motion, and reduce pain.
